Women's Rights

Only 26 percent of our state legislature is represented by women. Policies that impact our bodies, families, and pocketbooks are made by men. I will fight for equal pay, reproductive justice, and the right to have a voice at the table.

Every child deserves the chance to pursue their dreams. We owe them our support from their first day of school and through their higher learning. I am a proud graduate of Georgia public schools, but I have spent a decade working with Georgia students suffering from a broken system. I will work to advance smart solutions and prioritize the vision of students, teachers and parents.

I am proud of our rich Civil Rights legacy. I have worked with coalitions and fought against discriminatory legislation, gerrymandering and voter suppression. As an elected official, voting “no” is not enough — I will continue building stronger bridges between our diverse communities and work to fortify a resilient, beloved community for all Georgians, regardless of nationality, race, class, immigration status, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.

Georgia ranks among the bottom ten states for overall economic well-being. I will advocate for livable wages, state funding for MARTA, health care access, and affordable childcare options that strengthen our future and build a vibrant middle class. Let’s build a world we can proudly pass onto the next generation.

Our seniors deserve to retire in the comfort of their homes. I will fight for property tax reform for seniors, access to affordable health care, and increased MARTA mobility services.

Family Violence

Family and sexual violence impacts Georgians of every gender, race, age, and socioeconomic status. I have worked with community organizations to support victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. I will fight for a system that protects our families, seniors, children and survivors. We will break the silence.
